Book Description:

A prince from the Nyth Uchel mountains … a healer from the Oshtech desert …

Scornfully rejected by her desert lover and uncertain of her place in the world, Adonia traveled a perilous road to the fabled mountain-city of Nyth Uchel. She came to heal the sick and dying, but in the arms of highborn prince, Hel, Adonia found the answer to saving herself.

Descended from nobility, once great kings of Verdantia, Hel willingly bore the burden of his dying city and its people on his shoulders. Watching helplessly as a malingering evil attacked the very soil under his feet, he crushed his pride to summon help. He’d been staggered to discover the answer to saving his city and perhaps all Verdantia might lie behind a heavy fall of chocolate hair and shy brown eyes.

As their entire planet faces an encroaching black death, two seemingly disparate individuals forge a partnership of love and sacrifice that will alter their future forever. All of Verdantia will be tested.

Stand alone. Not a cliff-hanger. HEA 360 pages. M/F, Mild D/s themes, light spanking, and an over-sexed but sensitive prince with a hero complex.

What She Said…

Who has been the biggest influence on your writing? How so?

Probably the greatest influences on my writing have been three authors, J.R. Tolkien and his “Ring” trilogy; Georgetta Heyer and her Regency romances; and finally Joey Hill and her male/male romances. I love the fantasy and epic sweep of Tolkien’s books. I loved the romance and witty dialog of Georgetta Heyer’s romances and I discovered I loved the down and dirty sexuality in Joey Hill’s books…particularly her male on male romances with the strong BDSM elements.

If you were to have sex with one of your characters, which would you choose, and why?

Do I have to limit it to one!!! Couldn’t I have a menage with Doral and Ari? Or Tristan and Magellan? LOL Okay…just one…hmmm. Probably Eric DeStroia from Hers To Choose. Eric knows his way around a woman (as all the Verdantian men do) and while he is a confident, dominating male, he also has a playful sense of humor when it comes to sex. I find men who bring humor to sex to be immensely attractive. In addition, Eric genuinely LIKES women as people and sees them as his equal intellectually. He wants to be in charge, but is also willing to let his sexual partner hold the reins if that is what the occasions calls for.

Plot-driven erotic romance with intelligent, engaging characters and epic adventure. A happy ending is a given.

Tell me about your groupies–what have been your favorite fan moments?

I love the fans who tell me that my characters have become their book boyfriends. THAT puts a smile  on my face. I also love the emails that ask me to write faster…they need a Verdantian fix. LOL

Every author has pitfalls in their writing process. Describe one of yours, and what you do to dig out of it.

My biggest pitfall is simply a lack of imagination. I try to come up with challenges for my characters to keep the plot line fresh … sometimes finding a new set of circumstances that will be interesting to my readers is difficult and I lose sleep. When that happens, I throw myself on the mercy of my author group. Those ladies and their devious, fertile minds always bail me out!

What was the inspiration for your latest release?

My husband and I were touring Yellowstone National Park on vacation and he commented about how it would be interesting to have a “mountain man” as a hero in my next book. Well…things just took off from there.

My mother always joked about her special place in Hell—just punishments for guilty pleasures. What guilty pleasures will send you to your special place in Hell?

Funny that you should call them guilty pleasures as my tag line for my books is: “Calorie-free guilty  pleasures you will indulge in again and again.” Having said that, I will wind up in hell for gluttony and lust. LOL

I suppose this is cheating, however, this is a scene from Hers To Claim featuring the heroine, Adonia:

Arrogant eyes above a silky black beard flashed through her mind. She moved her legs restlessly, sliding them against the mattress and rubbing them together. One hand abandoned the pillow and slid to the small, hard bud of her nipple and gently rolled it between thumb and forefinger. Gods! The pleasure of that soft touch exploded in her clit. A small whimper escaped her mouth, and she abandoned the pillow altogether as her other hand crept to the soft folds between her legs.

The plumped flesh was already slicking with her moisture. She dipped her middle finger into her hot center and slid upward to circle her tender bud as pleasure coiled like a wound spring in her pussy. A firm pinch to her nipple and a faster circle of her clit, and her flesh spasmed into a series of contractions that shot pleasure through her in spears of sensation. Her back arched, and her legs split, thrusting her pelvis forward as though meeting the penetration of a hard cock. Her soft keen was lost into the pillow.

In Her Own Words…

Who has been the biggest influence on your writing? How so?

I don’t know if I have just one person I could say has the biggest influence. I have a group of women friends and authors who listen to me bitch and who help me through dark days as well as celebrate with me. Writing is an adventure. I sometimes picture myself on a raft going over the rapids and with me are people like Gemma Brocoto, Joanne Wadsworth, Tera Shanley, Sonya Clark, Alyssa Breck, Nerine Dorman, and Kimberly Murphy.

If you were to have sex with one of your characters, which would you choose, and why?

Oh dear. Well, I base most of my heroes on Stuart Townsend because BIG HUGE CELEBRITY CRUSH. Only, ha, I think I would like to sleep most with Parker from the Circle series and he’s NOT based on Stuart Townsend. But I love all his sex scenes very much. He’s a take charge lover who would make me fight to get on top and we’d both love every second of that.

Okay. Picture Daryl from Walking Dead. He’s taking a shower in the third season prison. Dean from Supernatural walks in eating a slice of cherry pie. Daryl is obviously totally naked and Dean has only a towel because he’s going to take a shower too. Daryl wants to trade the soap for the pie and Dean laughs at the idea. He gives Daryl the finger and Daryl shrugs, but then tackles Dean. They go down on the concrete floor, scrambling for possession of the pie. Daryl gets on top of Dean and Dean goes to headbutt him, but they end up kissing instead. So they roll around in the soapy water and pie all over the floor and things get..steamy. Castiel walks in to say to Dean that he miscalculated and they are in the wrong universe and there are zombies in this reality.

He sees Daryl on top of Dean yelling, “Isn’t this better than pie? Tell me this is better than pie!”

Dean says, “OH, yeah. SO much better.”

Castiel says, “So, maybe this means I ought to wait five minutes before I bring us back to our reality?”

“Yes” Dean says. “And you will never speak of this again.”

“Hey, does the guy in the trenchcoat want to join us?” Daryl asks.

Things get..even steamier. And it’s way longer than five minutes before Castiel and Dean leave the Walking Dead paradigm.

Every author has pitfalls in their writing process. Describe one of yours, and what you do to dig out of it.

There always comes a time when one of my beta readers tells me I need to change something. Make my heroine less angsty and more take charge. Describe my gargoyle shifters in a more flattering light to appeal to the romantic side of my readers. Things like that. Generally, I get up in arms over the idea. How dare someone criticize my preshus snowflake babies? Then I start thinking, “Oh, hell. I think she has a point.” Then I agonize over how to fix the issue without  compromising my characters.

In the case of the angsty heroine, I ended up letting her help abused women with her vampiric psychic powers which led to all sorts of epiphanies for her as a character and a deeper sense of who she was for the reader to see. It made the book ten times stronger.

With the gargoyles? I don’t know yet because the book hasn’t come out, but I suspect readers will fall head over heels in love with my gargoyle shifters in both human and gargoyle forms!

What was the inspiration for your latest release?

I wanted one of my characters to have a bondage kink that he was afraid to show because it’s tied to something dreadful in his past. That was the main one for Blood Gate. However, the Circle vampires have been with me since just after Hurricane Katrina when I started writing about them in my attempt to mourn the loss of my home in New Orleans and come to grips with the idea I lived in Houston, Texas now.

The first book, Blood Gift, borrowed a lot from the original Circle series. This newest one, Blood Gate, not so much.

My mother always joked about her special place in Hell—just punishments for guilty pleasures. What guilty pleasures will send you to your special place in Hell?

Ha. I never feel guilty about things that bring me pleasure.

Here’s a scene which would take place after the end of Blood Gate. It’s from Claire’s POV.

Andre stood at the foot of the bed, naked, hands behind his back. What did he have hidden? I couldn’t investigate since I was tied to the bed with multi-colored silk scarves.

“Parker, what has he got?” I turned my head to where Parker stood, also naked, and sporting a huge erection. From his grin, he obviously knew what Andre was concealing.

“Blindfold.” Andre produced the black mask adorned with scarlet feathers with a magician’s flourish.

“We thought not being able to see what we were doing to you might be fun.”

Andre let Parker place the mask over my eyes and when darkness descended, I could only process with hearing, smell, and sense of touch. Someone put his mouth on my pussy while the other bit my throat, drawing blood. Andre. I could smell his cologne. I’d know Parker’s tongue anywhere, and I squirmed as he licked me, paying special attention to my most sensitive spot. Blindfolds were pretty damn cool.

He also loves toying with the feisty witchling, doling out humiliating punishments while arousing a lust in her that leaves them both hungry for satisfaction.

What Adams has to say…

Who has been the biggest influence on your writing? How so?

My writing all comes from my masturbatory fantasies. Pretty much everything influences it beyond that–every movie I see or book I read I will imagine the way I would’ve written it (with hot domination and submission).

If you were to have sex with one of your characters, which would you choose, and why?

I would have sex with any and all of my doms–except then i would probably feel bad for the heroines because they were getting cheated on… I definitely write about my dream doms–the kind of alpha male who knows exactly how to make a woman quiver with a mixture of excitement and fear.

Pitch yourself to shiny new readers in twenty words or less:

I write naughty books with dominant men (or vampires) and women who like it rough.

Tell me about your groupies–what have been your favorite fan moments?

My favorite moments are when people reach out for advice–they want to be spanked, but haven’t told their husband yet, or they have a specific question about the mechanics of of a position or the way their body works. I never considered myself a sexpert, but I am so very happy to be of service in that way!

Slash two (or more) of your favorite characters from any book, film, or TV show. Tell us who they are, why you’re making them do naughty things, and their favorite position.

Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) from The Avengers. Hawkeye has the Black Widow tied up with her wrists behind her back and he’s banging her from behind in standing,

holding onto the bound wrists as she’s bent at the waist… Why? Because I know from the way she fights like a bad-ass that she loves a little pain with her pleasure…

Every author has pitfalls in their writing process. Describe one of yours, and what you do to dig out of it.

Sometimes I go too dark. When I was writing Yes, Doctor, I started to have the naughty nurse have some kind of cervical cancer scare that her dominant doctor would have to see her through. Then I realized Cancer Scare doesn’t really go with spanky-medical-play-intended-to-get-my-readers-off.

What was the inspiration for your latest release?

As someone who’s into dominance and submission, paranormal is a perfect fit–nothing like a supernatural dom to scare the pants off (heh) a feisty heroine before he ravishes her and blows her mind with orgasmic pleasure.

Despite his words, he did pick up the pace, stroking in and out, caressing her pussy with his cock, pushing his pelvis against the handle of the butt plug every time he plunged in.

She trembled, her legs scarcely holding her, her need growing to a fever pitch. She lost track of her surroundings, everything shrinking to the feel of his length moving inside her, the way her very cells seemed like they would explode if she didn’t find release.

“Oh Charlie,” she whimpered, rolling her face in the covers, biting at the luxurious fabric.

“Charlie, please let me come. Please, please, please.”

“You’re so adorable when you beg,” he said, gripping her hips and slamming into her so hard she thought she’d split in two. Over and over he thrust, pounding her inner wall as his balls slapped her clit and the plug fucked her ass.

“Charlie?” she cried, certain she could not take one more second.

“Now, Sasha,” he growled.

Who has been the biggest influence on your writing? How so?
I used to list authors I really liked, and who inspired me to start writing, but I’ve been doing a lot of interviews lately and I’ve come to the conclusion that the biggest influence on my writing is literally everything I’ve ever read. The good stuff, for makes me want to be better, the bad stuff makes damn sure I will be!

If you were going to slash two (or more) of your favorite characters from any book, film, or TV show, who would it be, why, and what’s their favorite position?
I hardcore slash Regina and Emma from Once Upon A Time. I don’t know what their favorite position would be, but I really want to write a fic about them getting nasty while making apple pie.

Pitch yourself to shiny, new readers in thirty words or less:
I only write what I want to read, and every book is going to be vastly different.

Tell me about your groupies–what have been your favorite fan moments?
At one of my very first book signings, I had a girl approach me with my book in her hands, just trembling all over. She was so sweet and wonderful, and she’s come out and supported me at every local event I’ve had since. And at a recent event in Texas, a woman approached me and said, “We’re friends on Facebook, and you’re like a part of our family!” That made me feel so awesome.

Every author has pitfalls in their writing process. Describe one of yours, and what you do to dig out of it.
Procrastination. I have such a problem with “I’ll just get on Tumblr real fast,” or “I’ll just see what everybody is doing on Twitter.” I have to really force myself to buckle down. Once I get into it, I’m in, but it’s the getting into it that’s difficult.

My mother always joked about her special place in Hell—just punishments for guilty pleasures. What guilty pleasures will send you to your special place in Hell?
Well, I’m kind of a hedonist, I guess, because I don’t equate pleasure with guilt. I don’t apologize for the stuff I like; I had a crush on David Cassidy in high school that none of my friends understood, because this was in the mid 90’s. But things other people might classify as guilty pleasures? I really love pop music and frozen pizza.

I love presents, but hate waiting through Neil’s insistence that I be surprised. “Can I open them yet, Sir?”

“Bratty subs don’t deserve presents, Sophie. I warn you, you wouldn’t want me to return this one.” He led me by the hand, to our bedroom, if my sense of direction wasn’t tricking me. He stopped and stepped behind me, laying both hands on my shoulders. “All right. Open them.”

At first, I didn’t recognize the smooth arch of the large black object resting on our bed. It only took me a moment to place it. “Is that…” I wet my lips. My chest felt tight. “Is that a…”

“A Sybian, yes,” he said, a bit of smug pride tinting his words. “I thought if you had nothing better to do—“

I didn’t need a further invitation; I was already wriggling out of my jeans.

Meet Erotica Author, Tina Christopher

Thanks for stopping by to meet Tina Christopher!  She was an awesome interviewee, and lots of fun! Scroll down to enter to win her tour-wide giveaways:

Who has been the biggest influence on your writing? How so?
Hm, that is a difficult question as there have been a number of influences along the way. I think Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb probably was the first author who made me want to write romance. My trunk novel was an attempt to write a J.D. Robb book with a twist. Then Christine Feehan introduced me to Vampires and other paranormal creatures and I never looked back. More recently Maya Banks, Sylvia Day, Lauren Dane and Nalini Singh because they all write characters filled with heartbreak and passion, and the ability to overcome bad decisions.

If you were going to slash two (or more) of your favorite characters from any book, film, or TV show, who would it be, why, and what’s their favorite position?
Wow, I don’t even know where to start! My first instinct is to say Sherlock and Watson, with Sherlock on his knees and Watson taking him from behind because I’d like to see Watson in control once in a while. But then I thought of Dr. Rodney McKay and John Sheppard from Stargate Atlantis because I’d love to take their bromance all the way. They wouldn’t have a favourite position because Rodney would always be testing new ones. And then I am moving on to a cross-TV party. Agent Phil Coulson from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Rick Castle from Castle, Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Dr. Daniel Pierce from Perception, just because they are the characters that jumped into my head when I contemplated the question. I tried to add Leroy Jethro Gibbs from NCIS, but there was just no way I could see him mixing with the others;) (I love the way this lady thinks!).

I write erotic romance set in the future or in the past, but always filled with hot sex, love, adventure, an edge of darkness, and a thoroughly satisfying ending.

Tell me about your groupies–what have been your favorite fan moments?
All fan moments are amazing. My very first fan email ranks among the most memorable. Tangled Shadows had been out for maybe a week and this lovely lady emailed me to tell me how much she’d enjoyed and how much she was looking forward to finding out what happened next. I was utterly amazed that my writing had touched someone so much she took the time to contact me. I still remember the feeling and pull it out when things get tricky.

Every author has pitfalls in their writing process. Describe one of yours, and what you do to dig out of it.
I can get too hung up on the plot and forget that the romance and the erotic journey is at the core of the story. When I find myself struggling to find a way to progress the romance I usually pull back and go to the initial idea, the thought that made me go “I want to write this story”. Once I have returned to that initial spark I work on progressing the story in a way that weaves plot and romance together. Sometimes it works beautifully, sometimes I have to kill a few of my darlings;).

My mother always joked about her special place in Hell—just punishments for guilty pleasures. What guilty pleasures will send you to your special place in Hell?
I own all 8 seasons of “Charmed” on DVD. Need I say more?

Sarah’s eyes widened when she lifted a personal manipulator out of the box. Her men had talked about getting one for her. It was surprisingly light despite its size. She flicked the switch and watched the phallic end vibrate at different strengths and frequencies, depending on the setting.

Her breathing grew uneven. Her nipples tightened and her quim moistened.

She turned off the manipulator, undressed and climbed into bed. After adding lubricant to the manipulator she rubbed it across her nipples, over her stomach and finally teased her wet opening. Her hips jerked when she touched her clit. Pleasure raced through her. With her free hand she circled a nipple. Sarah slowly thrust the apparatus insider her and moaned at the fire building at her core. She moved her hand imagining Warren pushing and pulling out while Archer played with her nipples. She groaned, wishing her men were with her when a noise drew her eyes to the door.
There they were, watching her, the heat blazing in their eyes burning her to cinders. She exploded in pure bliss. She struggled to catcher her breath, but smiled. The coming night would be unforgettable.

About the Author

Tina Christopher spent her early years flitting across the Channel between Germany and England. After touring the world extensively, she finally laid down roots in Toronto. And while Canada’s winters may be frigid, Tina’s characters are anything but!

Like most writers, Tina often hears voices in her head, but it took the encouragement of an editor friend before she actually put fingers to keyboard.

While those first stories will never see the light of day, she’s subsequently honed her craft and learned to build not just worlds, but entire galaxies. Her first book from Ellora’s Cave features a galaxy filled with Vampires, Humans and angel-like aliens called Naema.

When not imagining far away worlds and scorching hot encounters, Tina can be found on her sofa working through her never-ending TBR pile or venturing into the real world—whether to a nearby café or a passport-required destination. She’s a member of the RWA’s Toronto chapter. Her two degrees in environmental conservation, majoring in large animal studies, come in handy when wrestling with supernatural beasties.

New Release from Leigh Ellwood!

And she’s a Decadent author, so you know it’s gonna rock 😉

A Different Class by Leigh EllwoodA Different Class by Leigh Ellwood
a 1NS Story from Decadent Publishing
M/M Erotic Romance, 11000 words

From Leigh: I am thrilled to be part of the Decadent family! The idea for A Different Class came about after an invitation arrived for an upcoming high school reunion. I asked myself what might happen if somebody felt reluctant to attend because of bad experiences and memories, and how one night arranged by Madame Eve changes everything.

Right now I am halfway into the follow-up to this story, another hot M/M. I hope you’ll pick up A Different Class, and if you enjoy it drop me a line on Twitter at @LeighEllwood. J

FDR High Class of 2004 graduate, Glenn Carson contacts fellow alumni to get a list of who will be attending the upcoming festivities. One call to a disgruntled former student leaves him shaken—apparently, not everyone is looking forward to the reunion. Hoping to ease his frustration, he contacts the 1Night Stand service for a relaxing and passionate encounter.

Known as “Mumbles” to former classmates, Rod Maloney would prefer to focus on the present and his successful business. However, past tragedies continue to haunt him, so he requests Madame Eve find him a man to show him a hot time and help him forget his troubles.

Will their one night together lead to a reunion after all?

“Mr. Maloney? I hope I’m not disturbing you.”

“Who is calling?”

The voice—deep and rich, anything but a mumble—intimidated him. Maybe the guy had been a jock, a several-foot-wide football player who helped the school win the championship senior year. He hadn’t attended many games and had skipped homecoming. “Um….” Right, we’re planning a reunion here. “I’m representing the reunion committee of the Franklin D. Roosevelt High School Class of 2004. You can probably guess our big tenth is coming up—”

“You know what? I’m going to save you the sales pitch,” Mumbles Maloney said. “I don’t know who you are, and I don’t give a shit. It’s taken me a long time to get past all the crap I put up with in high school, and if you think I’m going to show up at some rented ballroom all smiles as though the hell you assholes you put me through never happened, forget it.”

What? The man’s anger surged through him and sped up his heartbeat. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean—”

“F*** you, f*** FDR High, and f*** every last piece-of-shit homophobe in that backwater town. I hope you all get cancer.”

Beth burst back into the room, waving a thick tome with a scaly blue cover. “Found it,” she chirped.

“Never mind.” Glenn pushed away from his workspace. Mumbles Maloney’s palpable rage lingered in the quiet of the small office, invoking a sense of doom in an otherwise dull place. He doubted he’d forget the voice for a long while. The man had pent-up issues with his former schoolmates, no doubt, yet for all the vitriol burning through the airwaves and sizzling in the veins, Mumbles had sounded…well….

About Leigh

I am Leigh Ellwood. I write smutty stories about people who like getting naked and having sex. Some have more sex than others, some have sex with people of the same gender, some have sex with more than one person, and still others have sex with toys and things that require the use of batteries. My stories range from a few thousand words to well past 70k. My books are available at Amazon, B&N, Smashwords, Kobo, and ARe.

Meet Erotica Author, Joy Lynn Fielding

Today Joy Lynn Fielding joins us to talk about her new release from Siren Publishing “Shifting Sands.” Be sure to check out Joy’s giveaway of a $10 Amazon gift card! Follow the Rafflecopter below!

Who has been the biggest influence on your writing? How so?

Georgette Heyer. I know that might sound incongruous given that I write erotic romance, but I love her light touch with humour and the way she builds a complete world for the reader to fall into and believe in.

If you were going to slash two (or more) of your favorite characters from any book, film, or TV show, who would it be, why, and what’s their favorite position?

I have to go back to two of my old favourites, Colonel John Sheppard and Major Evan Lorne from Stargate Atlantis. Why? Well, have you seen them? 😉  Plus there’s the uniforms, the dog tags, and when SGA was filmed Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell was still extant so there are so many opportunities for angst.

Favourite (did you see how Joy spelled that? I LOVE her!)position? Major Lorne bent over the briefing table in the conference room, begging a teasing, controlling Sheppard to fuck him, and calling him sir.

Pitch yourself to shiny, new readers in thirty words or less:

I write about hot men doing hot things to one another, served with a big bowl of angst, a sprinkling of humour (swoon), and a happy ending.

Tell me about your groupies–what have been your favorite fan moments?

I always love talking to readers, so it’s a bit difficult to pull any one particular moment out. That much said, there was a wonderful reaction from one person who got so indignant with Gilbert in A Gilded Cage that she refused to refer to him by name. He became ‘Mr Arse’ (which I have to admit probably suits him better than Gilbert).

The thing that’s tickled me recently is the sheer number of people following the Strength of the Pack series who are so keen to know Karl’s story. It seems like he’s everyone’s favourite!

Every author has pitfalls in their writing process. Describe one of yours, and what you do to dig out of it.

Whenever I struggle to write, it’s because I’ve gone wrong somewhere in the previous couple of pages. It means I’ve stopped listening to the characters and got them to do what I think they should do, not what they would do. So I need to go back until I find the place where that happened and take a new path. And then I get to listen to them saying “I told you so”.

My mother always joked about her special place in Hell—just punishments for guilty pleasures. What guilty pleasures will send you to your special place in Hell?

Cadburys chocolate mini-rolls. They’re currently on special offer at my local shop. I may have cleared the shelves…

“You bought nipple clamps?”

Jason was bright red. Before Riley could tease him further, he lowered his head to Riley’s chest and Riley promptly forgot everything except Jason’s warm, wet mouth. Jason’s tongue flicked his nipple until it was standing tight and proud and he was shivering. That was when he felt the bite of cold metal. And then Jason concentrated on his other nipple, until Riley’s cock was hard and desperate.

Jason’s hand curved around the heat of his cock as his teeth tugged at a clamp, and Riley cried out. He came hard and fast, gasping Jason’s name.

About the Author:

Joy Lynn Fielding is a sucker for happy endings. She believes, however, that if characters don’t suffer along the way, they won’t fully appreciate being happy. Not all of her characters thank her for this viewpoint, but what do they know?

Joy lives in a small English market town, but also inhabits a number of fictional worlds at any one time, reflecting what she’s writing and what she’s reading. She has a tendency to share enthusiastically with anyone who will listen the latest fascinating facts she’s stumbled across in her research for books. Thankfully she has a very patient Labrador, who has a gift for looking as though he’s interested in what she’s saying while he waits for the food to arrive.
