Kenya Carlton stopped by to discuss her new release, Devil’s Play, and share a little about herself.
Who has been the biggest influence on your writing? How so?
Inadvertently, my aunt, but mainly my parents. My dad has a new book every week.
If you were going to slash two (or more) of your favorite characters from any book, film, or TV show, who would it be, why, and what’s their favorite position?
I’m not sure what slash is, but I’m assuming it means screw …Hmmm, right off the top of my head I would pick The Guardian Idris Elba and Lokie, Tom Hiddleston from Thor. Can you tell that was the last movie I saw? (:-I can’t imagine what either one of those mystical creatures favorite position would be, hopefully someone will ask them.

I’m a quirky writer that will give you a sexy peek into a new world.
Every author has pitfalls in their writing process. Describe one of yours, and what you do to dig out of it.
Occasionally I get writers block. To get over the hump I take a break. When I come back I write a scene, whether it’s a keeper or not, just to get the juices flowing.
My mother always joked about her special place in Hell—just punishments for guilty pleasures. What guilty pleasures will send you to your special place in Hell?
Desserts. I found my baking habit is similar to crack, but it’s an expensive habit.

About Devil’s Play
Snuggled within the warm embrace of marital bliss, biologically altered army Captain Drake Devilin and his supernatural bride Sienna face their biggest challenge to date. Called back for duty in World War II, Drake must leave his amazing life behind and join his troop to fight the Nazis. Although he’s certain his new mission is merely a rouse to obtain his most precious commodity, his wife, Drake leaves, but not before giving Sienna a magical necklace in the hope it will protect her against unknown enemies.
Lured from her prosperous island by a sorcerer who is convinced she was always meant to be his bride. Sienna is challenged to play three magical games to ensure her husband’s safe return. In each game, a limited time is given to Sienna to immerse herself into a new world, situation, and persona; find Drake; and have him acknowledge her by name. And she can’t use her powers to make it happen.
Everything dear to Sienna’s heart is put in jeopardy. Willing to fight for the love of her life and her happiness, Sienna takes on the sorcerer in his own game of cat and mouse.
