Meet the Master of the Opera

Today I’m talking with Jeffe Kennedy, author of the Master of the Opera series!

Who has been the biggest influence on your writing? How so?

I can never point to one influence. I’ve always read voraciously, in pretty much every genre. In erotica, I’d likely pick Anais Nin, Pauline Reage and Anne Rice.

If you were going to slash two (or more) of your favorite characters from any book, film, or TV show, who would it be, why, and what’s their favorite position?

Wolverine and Black Widow, because they’re both awesomely intense and I doubt they’d stick to any one position!

Pitch yourself to shiny, new readers in thirty words or less:

Dreamy, intense, vividly written erotic romance with the perfect mix of willingness and skepticism.

Tell me about your groupies–what have been your favorite fan moments?

Usually when readers write to me that they gave my book to their husbands for inspiration – and then they sometimes tell me the awesome results!

Every author has pitfalls in their writing process. Describe one of yours, and what you do to dig out of it.

I write for discovery so sometimes I don’t know exactly what will happen next. The only solution is to keep writing through it.

My mother always joked about her special place in Hell—just punishments for guilty pleasures. What guilty pleasures will send you to your special place in Hell?

No doubt drinking FAR too much wine.

List 5 keywords for your genre and current title.

Magical realism, Phantom of the Opera, erotic, suspense, mystery

In 100 words, write a paragraph including a favorite character from one (or more) of your books, a sex toy, and a very happy ending.

A bit from PETALS & THORNS

Amarantha began to beg.

Pleas tumbled from her lips, promises and whimpers. She felt she might split apart. Her flesh strained and spasmed as the relentless device spread her open. All the while the Beast gave her his undivided attention, never saying a word but drinking in her every quiver and cry.

When she could at last bear no more, Amarantha yielded to the inevitable and let her straining legs relax. Her weight drove the prong deeply into her even as her sex slapped onto the beam, driving her into a writhing climax.
